Hindu College, Amritsar was founded in 1924 by eminent leaders like late Shri Gopal Dass Bhandari and other illustrious philanthropists. The NSS Department of Hindu College, Amritsar organized a guest lecture on “Swami Vivekananda and Youth Empowerment” on the valedictory day of National Youth Week.

Second day of National Youth Week

On the second day of National Youth Week, NSS volunteers painted the college grills and gates to enhance the campus appearance. On the third day ,they planted saplings in the college premises to promote a green and clean environment. On the fourth day, the students organized an anti-drug abuse rally to spread awareness about the harmful effects of drugs and encourage a healthy lifestyle

The NSS Unit, Hindu College, Amritsar commenced the celebrations of National Youth Week from 12th to 19th January. On the first day, a Poster Making Activity was organized on the theme “Youth for Clean and Green India.” Students actively participated and created posters emphasizing cleanliness, environmental awareness, and green practices.

Today,NSS volunteers, Hindu college , participated in declamation contest under Viksit Bharat Youth Parliament an initiative by Government of India organised by NSS department, Guru Nanak Dev University. Their participation was appreciated and they will receive certificates of appreciation from Government of India.

Hindu College Honoured for Fitness Initiative

Hindu College, Amritsar, celebrated the success of the 30-Day Fitness Challenge with an award ceremony. Chief Guest Brig. Harcharan Singh VSM, Arjuna Awardee, inspired students with his words. The college received the Champion of Wellness and Vitality Award and 3rd place in the Insta Reel Challenge. Dr. Priyanka Mahajan (Nodal Officer), Dr. Vishu Mehra and Dr. Ranjit Singh Sandhu (Program Coordinators) were felicitated in the event.

The Red Ribbon Club and NSS UNIT of Hindu College

In collaboration with Haryawal Punjab, organized a seminar on Pollution: Challenges and Solutions. Dr. Rakesh Sharma delivered a highly informative lecture, shedding light on various aspects of pollution and potential remedies. The team of Haryawal Punjab actively participated in the event. The Principal extended heartfelt thanks to Dr. Sharma, the Haryawal Punjab team, and everyone who contributed to the seminar's success.

50 NCC cadets visited the Wagah Border

A group of 50 NCC cadets visited the Wagah Border,the historic Indo-Pak border. The cadets had the privilege of witnessing the Beating Retreat Ceremony. The high-energy parade, synchronized drills, and the lowering of flags filled the atmosphere with national pride. The visit left a lasting impression on the cadets, motivating them to uphold the values of courage, dedication, and patriotism. The NCC unit extends gratitude to the authorities and Sandeep Sir for making this visit possible. The trip was an enriching experience, strengthening the cadets' commitment to serving the nation.
