Dr. Abhishek Aggarwal is an Associate Professor & Head of the Department of Geography & Tourism at Hindu College, Amritsar. He has done master’s degree from the Department of Geography, Kurukshetra University, and is a Gold Medallist. He has finished his M.Phil from the Centre for the Study of Regional Development, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, Masters in Tourism Management from Indira Gandhi National Open University, New Delhi, and Ph.D. from Kurukshetra University. He also has completed eight weeks of training in Remote Sensing (GIS & GPS) at the Indian Institute of Remote Sensing (IIRS), Dehradun. He has more than 29 years of teaching and research experience. He has to his credit many research papers published in leading national and international professional journals. One research scholar completed Ph.D. on Farm Tourism in Punjab under him. His areas of interest are Regional Development and Tourism Geography. He won National Scholarship in 1987 and cleared UGC (NET) exam in 1991. He has presented papers at various national and international conferences. Dr. Sarish Khera is Assistant Professor in Geography in Hindu College, Amritsar. She received Gold Medal in Post Graduation from Guru Nanak Dev University. She cleared UGC (NET) exam in 2012. She received her Ph.D in 2022 from Punjabi University, Patiala. Blending her passion for geospatial technology with a commitment to professional development, she completed a certificate course in Remote Sensing & Geoinformation Sciences from the prestigious Indian Institute of Remote Sensing and MOOC on Spatial Analysis and Earth Imagery from ESRI in California. She also received Young Geographer Award by Association of Punjab Geographers for best paper presentation. With a passion for beauty industry, she also completed one year certificate course in Cosmetology from Guru Nanak Dev University. She has presented papers at various national and international conferences and many research papers to her credit. Within the broad area of geography, she specializes in the field of environment geography, pollution studies, water crisis and scarcity, Remote Sensing and GIS.
